Antes del examen

Pues bien, hace tiempo que no escribió nada de nada. Pero esto va a cambiar. Como próxima semana tendré bastante mucho cosas para aprender, parece un momento adecuado para apuntar algunas repeticiones.

Como voy a empezar la semana con un “midterm” de ingles pues aquí algunos de los “phrasal verbs”:

·         to bring back sth (bring sth back) – to reintroduce

·         to bring up sb (bring sb up) – to raise children

·         to call off sth (call sth off) – to cancel sth

·         to carry on (doing sth) – to continue

·         to come back – to return

·         to fall behind (with sth) – to fail to produce sth at the right time

·         to get back (to somewhere) – to return somewhere

·         to get on (in life) – to advance, to make progress

·         to get down to sth – finally start doing sth

·         to give up (doing sth) (give sth up) – stop doing sth (often negative)

·         to go ahead (with sth) – to begin to do sth (planned or promised)

·         to go trough sth – to experience a difficult time

·         to grow up – to develop from child to adult

·         to hold on – to wait

·         to hold sth/sb up – to delay sth/sb

·         to keep sb up – to delay sb from going to bed

·         to put sth off (put off sth) – to postpone

·         to set off – to start a journey

·         to stay up – to go to bed later than usual

·         to take up sth (take sth up) – to start learning sth
